Humtown Products Recognized as a Legacy Business by the U.S. Small Business Administration

Seventy years ago, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) was created by Congress to aid, counsel, assist and protect the interests of small business concerns, to preserve free competitive enterprise, and to strengthen and maintain the overall economy of the nation.

In 2023, the SBA celebrates their 70th Anniversary by honoring sixty-eight legacy businesses across the nation that have benefited from using SBA resources in the early stages of their development. HUMTOWN PRODUCTS was honored as the SBA Legacy Business from the Cleveland District, during a presentation at the company’s Leetonia facility!

Over the years, Humtown has utilized numerous SBA loan products to persevere and then grow into emerging technologies, as well as many SBA services, including consulting from the Ohio Small Business Development Center at Youngstown State University that began in 2011. The company has been a long-standing partner and supporter of the SBDC and its Export Assistance Network at YSU. Services provided have included export consulting to expand globally, the Ohio Export Internship Program, Ohio International Market Support Program, SBDC financial modeling and analysis, market research, executive presentation coaching, business resource connections, and participation in the SBA Emerging Leaders Program, to name a few.
